Presently I am making two performance cams for the Chief. Although I can provide the replica "Bonneville" lobes, as well as the popular "Ollie" cam lobes, I have no interest in reproducing the "Shunk" style cams. They may have made some power increases, but they have a wierd lop-sided design that doesn't make any sense in the Indian cam environment (plus they never offered much lift!). I make the new "Hot Rod", and "Street & Strip" cam lobes. These two new profiles take the performance increase of the Ollies to a higher level of performance. My "Hot Rod" cam is a performance cam suited for spirited riding in any Chief, while my "Street & Strip" cam is better suited for the hopped-up Bobbers equipped with 4-speeds, CV carbs, free flowing exhaust, lighter weight, etc. Both have higher lift than either the "Bonneville", or "Ollie" profiles, so attention to valve to combustion chamber clearance must be observed! Note: I build alot of Chief motors, and when converting from stock cams to "Bonneville", or "Ollie" cams, the valves WILL hit the heads in at least 1/2 the motors that I see. This is usually because somebody has milled the heads before. Please see my "Tech Talk" section for an explanation on how to make clearance. I have a version of my "Street & Strip" cams (with .486" lift) in my 80" "Super Chief". It sounds wicked, and I have been 130.1 MPH at a road run before!

Here you can see my racing lifters in the cam case with (2) of my early dished flank cam prototypes.
