About this ebook

The perfect man for her is the one she hates most. #gofigure

Dating is hard.

Dating in your thirties is even harder.

Dating in Chicago is harder still.

I haven’t given up on finding my happily-ever-after, but in the age of swiping right and Netflix and chill, I’m wondering if everything is as temporary as my marriage turned out to be.

Truth is, there is one guy I can’t get my mind off of.

Roarke Baldwin has salt and pepper hair I’ve dreamed of running my hands through and I’m pretty sure that if I checked he really does have a six pack of abs underneath his suit. And I’ve always wondered what that stubble on his face would feel like between my thighs.

The problem? He’s the one man I hate more than my ex-husband…

His divorce attorney.

Note to readers: This book was previously titled Happy Hour (Charity Case #3).

I knew Piper Rayne was going to pull it off I just didn't know how. Getting little tidbits of Roarke from Hannah in the previous books I knew it was going to take a lot of convincing for me to like the guy. Well I was in for a surprise because it was rather easy to like the guy once Hannah gets to see the guy behind the lawyer. He has so much swoon worthy materiel, but the clincher for me was his pet. I knew right then Piper Rayne didn't have to do much more for me to be won over by Roarke. Now for Hannah it's a different story because their past has set a one heck of a hurdle for Roarke to win her over. I highly enjoyed this one as I do any book by Piper Rayne. You can never go wrong with one of their books. I also loved the set up for Piper Rayne's next series. I can't wait for it!

4.5* Hannah and Roarke share quite a contentious relationship, stemming from the fact he represented her ex-husband in their divorce proceedings, which left her with some not so very nice feelings towards him. And who can blame a girl? But lord, Roarke was not going to be deterred when it came to his pursuit of her! Happy Hour is a fun, sexy, enemies-to-lovers story about two very strong, determined, and independent people who think they know exactly what they want out of life, until they take the time to really get to know each other. I really liked Roarke's character- he's not quite what you'd expect and I enjoyed getting to know all facets of him. Hannah, she's a tough nut to crack. She had some walls up when it came to not just Roarke, but relationships in general, because of what happened with her ex. Roarke had his work cut out for him when it came to changing her mind about him, and I loved how he went about it. The way Hannah and Roarke challenged each other led to some undeniable chemistry that sizzled and sparked every time they were in a room together, it was just waiting to combust. And when it finally did, boy was it worth the wait! This was a really charming story, just like the previous 2 two books in the series. I liked the peek we got at the next series to come, those books should be lots of fun! And I just love how they find a way to weave characters from earlier books into the current ones, it's so fun to see favorites pop up!

As the saying goes "saved the best for last", that was this book for me! I LOVED all three books but there was something about this one that just resonated with me, whether it was the older characters or their history I just couldn't put this book down until I inhaled every last page of their story. Hannah and Roarke were fun, sexy, swoon-worthy and so freaking HOT!!! I don't want to give too much away because you NEED to read this book! This is definitely Piper Rayne's best book to date and that's saying something....CASE CLOSED!!
