Calling All Activists in Training!

What is Indivisible? Learn our mission and expectations, as well as how to engage with our events and calls to action. A great crash course in the Indivisible movement!

Keeping Group Members Active and Engaged

Preventing burnout and member churn, keeping connected with people not on Facebook/social media, finding the right mix of inspiration and outrage. This session is directed at Indivisible Group Leaders.

Lunch

Informal lunch discussion re social media best practices, and anything you’d like to discuss with like-minded OR-1 Indivisibles. We’ll cluster up according to areas of interest.

Know Your Rights Training, presented by the ACLU of Oregon

The US Constitution safeguards the rights and liberties of each of us. To exercise these rights, we must know them. We will get specific about the rights of protesters, those dealing with ICE, and anyone interacting with police. Intended to be shared, this training includes a review of online and offline KYR tools to bring back to your communities so we can protect and strengthen the rights of everyone.

Workshop: Writing Letters to the Editor
(Activism for Introverts!)

Learn how to write powerful letters to influence public opinion. We’ll share best practices, show sample letters on today’s key topics, and teach you which media outlets to target. Then team up with a partner to write a practice letter. Who knew writing letters could be so fun?

Workshop: Collaborating Across Multiple
Indivisible Groups

Facilitated work session for Group Leaders who want to increase efficiency by working together, by sharing workloads (TH guides, e-newsletters, LTEs, social media), and by helping each other, to maximize impact and reach.

2:45-3:30 PM

Dream Bigger: Staying Engaged and Inspired in Dark Times

Overwhelm, fatigue, and burnout are some of the biggest risks to the success of a movement. In your efforts as an activist, how do you stay engaged without burning out? This talk offers new ways to fuel yourself as you work on issues you care about. Learn invigorating, sustainable strategies that help bring about the change we wish to see in the world.
