Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home will let you back up important files or your entire hard drive, and then restore from the backup whenever you need. With several different functions bundled together, this app provides a versatile solution to your computer backup needs.

Pros

Multiple functions: When you open this program, you're presented with a dashboard that offers several options for you to choose from. You can Burn a CD/USB Backup, or you can complete a Windows Recovery, Data Recovery, Disk Image and Clone, or a Password Recovery.

Lots of help: No matter which item you pick, a Wizard will open up in a new window to guide you through the process. And if you need more help than that, you can refer to the Help file, which offers step-by-step instructions complete with screenshots.

Cons

Challenges for novice users: Even with all of the available Help, certain aspects of this program can be overwhelming to novice users. The Disk Image and Clone option in particular require you to make a lot of technical decisions, and there is a lot of information presented at once at each step along the way.

Bottom Line

Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home is a good option for backing up your computer and recovering data if something goes wrong. Although it tries to make all features accessible to all users, some features still require a bit of technical knowledge to take full advantage of. The program is free, however, so it's definitely worth trying out to see if it's a good match for you.

Easy, cheap and worked great.

The software was not completely obvious to use. I actually had to use the Help some to figure it out, but then it was fine.
Summary
This has helped me recover family password (usually forgotten, sometimes, well, you know. You load the software on your own PC, burn a recovery DVD and reboot the other PC to it. Then follow the instructions to blank out the Administrator password. When you reboot, log in as Administrator with a blank password. That's it. It scares me that someone else could use this maliciously, but what can I do other than protect my PC and lock it in a safe when we go on vacation.

Pros
Pretty simple to reset the Administrator password by following the online instructions. Afterward, I just hit enter on Administrator login (blank pw) and there you go.
Cons
1. On my Toshiba Satellite, it was hard to boot to the CD, as you only get the Flash Screen, but read how to hold the "c" down during bootup and it went to CD fine. 2. The program runs full size and I could not see the buttons at the bottom. I just kept hitting enter for the buttons and apparently the default was next, so it worked.

After spending a couple of hours with very unhelpful and perhaps ill equipped Microsoft technicians, I tried out several software solutions. Setting aside the very obvious which is "this free version is really free compared to almost every one out there" - this software worked like a charm. It worked exactly as advertised and I was able to get back into my Windows 10 computer administrator account. It doesn't make me feel good about Windows' security but for my own selfish reasons, this software was a godsend
Cons
None really. I wouldn't call it a con but a small improvement would be to provide a note suggesting that you could leave the Windows version unspecified even for Windows 10 - the choices initially made me nervous that this was like everybody else out there where they advertise one thing and the reality is very different. I chose the "unspecified windows version" for my Windows 10 issue and it worked very well

It didn't work. Kept giving me an error message when it tried to download WinPE claiming it was corrupted because my internet was unstable which is incorrect. No data on the website to fix or resolve this error.

It is the only actually free software which i found on net,rest other software can only show the accounts present in the system but to reset the password you need to buy the paid version.It also help me to transfer the file to removable disk when my operating system deleted by mistake.

I tried several other programs that stated they were for free, only to find out the demo or I could only recover 2 GB for free. Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home was actually free and saved all my files off the corrupt external drive.
Cons
I only see great things with this product. No negatives.
Summary
I am going to suggest to my daughter to get this and recover the pictures of her babies first year off of a corrupt disk. So glad to find this program. What a life saver.

After searching for some time to find an easy and free way to fix my lost password issue on my windows 7 computer I found this program, I was skeptical but mounted it to a usb stick followed the easy prompts and BOOM!! password gone. A true free way to remove a forgotten password. ( I changed my PW while a bit drunk and the next day couldn't remember it) : )
Cons
Kinda scary how easy it was to reset/remove my password from my windows login, I guess that old saying "lock keep honest people honest" applies here, windows password is kind weak.

Didn't try anything else in the suite but if it works anything like the password removal did, it's golden.
