When not windsurfing, Zara runs a medical practice in Portishead.

  4. Feminist t-shirt named Dress of the Year

    Dress of the Year 2017

Fashion Museum Bath has announced its latest dress of the year, as it has done every year since it opened in 1963.

Each year the museum asks a fashion expert to choose their top outfit or look of the year for the collection.

This year's design was chosen by Sarah Bailey from Red Magazine.

She chose "an ensemble" - which includes a white cotton "We Should All Be Feminists" print T-shirt designed by Dior's Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The outfit - as with subsequent previous winners - has been donated to the museum's collection.

  6. New bin rounds 'huge success' despite complaints

Video caption: Listen: New bin rounds "have caused problems"

New bin collections in Bath and North East Somerset have been a "huge success" according to the council, despite complaints from some residents.

Since the start of November non-recyclable waste has been collected every fortnight, as opposed to the previous weekly collections.

It has led to complaints of rubbish piling up in the streets, and collections being missed.

There has also been criticism of the size of the new bins, with some people saying they are smaller than expected.

Conservative councillor Bob Goodman, cabinet member in charge of waste at Banes, says the new rounds will take time to bed in.

The postbox in Scott Road, Frome, has been painted blue and plastered with the 10-year-old's winning 1st Class stamp design.

It's only the fourth time in Royal Mail’s 500-year history that children have designed the Christmas stamps.

The festive postbox will remain in place throughout the 2017 Christmas season.

We’ve been looking at the state of the music scene and its venues' fortunes across the West.

Many bands get their first breaks at grass-roots level in the region.

Bristol's Louisiana is celebrating its 30th anniversary but it has not been an easy ride.

Recent noise-abatement campaigns have affected the number of places where musicians can play across the country, and Bristol is no exception.

  12. Jim Booth home again - full family statement

    Jim Booth

After being attacked at home in Taunton, D-Day veteran Jim Booth, 96, is out of hospital and back home again.

Here is the full statement released by his family:

Quote Message: We are pleased to report that our father has left hospital to continue his rehabilitation at home, supported by his family. We should like to thank the staff at Musgrove Park Hospital who have cared for him over the last ten days as well as the A and E team who addressed his immediate needs when he was admitted with life-threatening injuries. Our father is enormously uplifted by the many cards and good wishes that he's received from people of all ages and nationalities. These include a little boy who anonymously sent his £5 Christmas money and the school children from Normandy who drew pictures of his submarine on D-Day. He is very touched by the kindness of friends, neighbours and strangers who have offered help and wished him a speedy recovery. The family would also like to thank Avon and Somerset Police for their support throughout the ordeal. from Family statement
