Within East Ayrshire we are very fortunate to have our own Here to Listen Suicide Prevention Strategy together with a host of dedicated and embedded Suicide First Aiders throughout our workforce and our communities.
These amazing volunteers continue to provide crisis support to anyone who needs it and through our partnership with Beautiful Inside and Out, we are able to provide bespoke suicide prevention counselling within a few days of being contacted.
Suicide is a sensitive and emotive subject but we continue to reduce the stigma, raise awareness and provide support and assistance to those most in need.
In recognition of the outstanding achievements of our strategy, we have recently been awarded the iESE Certificate of Excellence ‘due to the exemplary standard of the work demonstrated’.
