June 2017

Dear Friends, Colleagues and Partners,

The annual DRM General Assembly was hardly over and we were ready to start another exciting project: working together with the Indonesian public broadcaster (RRI) we managed to demonstrate the great benefits of DRM for local coverage (DRM+). This was achieved in the crowded and very real environment of Batam island overlooking the straits of Singapore.

You will find some of the excellent conclusions below. They match the good feedback we are also getting on DRM for local coverage (DRM+) from Pakistan and South Africa.

One of the features of DRM is also the emergency warning functionality, the subject of a recent Radio World blog. Other articles of interest are also included in this June edition.

Information about new cars models with fitted DRM receivers on the roads in India and other DRM developments in Brazil and US will round off the newsletter.

We are also including the profile of one of our key members Babcock International.

If you have exciting news about you or you want your company to feature in the next Newsletter projectoffice@drm.org can tell you how!

Finally, please do not forget to join us on Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.

And if you want to join the Consortium please contact projectoffice@drm.org.

The DRM Project Office has a new Telephone number following a recent office move: +44 (0)7718175879.  The main Project Office email address remains the same: projectoffice@drm.org.
