A new Department of Education policy allows the federal government to investigate public schools that don’t refer to gender-confused students by their chosen gender pronouns.

The memo was written by Candice Jackson, the lesbian acting assistant secretary for the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Education (DOE).

Jackson was hired by Education Secretary Betsy DeVos who objected to President Trump’s overturning of former President Obama’s federal “transgender” school mandate.

Conservatives are upset that Trump’s administration continues to promote sexual lifestyles to children in public schools.

“Schools do not use ‘preferred’ pronouns for anyone. Until very recently, no teacher, coach, or administrator in the history of education has ever asked students what their ‘preferred’ pronouns were. Schools use the personal pronouns that correspond to students’ objective, immutable sex,” Laurie Higgins told LifeSiteNews.

“Using grammatically correct personal pronouns does not constitute harassment and does not create a hostile environment no matter how much ‘trans’ students may dislike the practice,” said Higgins, who is a writer for Illinois Family Institute. “All students have a sex and that sex never changes. Personal pronouns correspond to and denote sex — not subjective, internal experiences or preferences.”

Higgins said the goal for pro-LGBTQ activists is to completely eliminate “public recognition of sex differences in every context for every person” except for transgenders who display “stereotypical” gender behaviors.

Linda Harvey, a Christian conservative, called the Education Department’s new memo “Obama-lite”.

“When are we going to have a Department of Education that is concerned with the genuine safety and welfare of children — rather than promoting this massive LGBTQ social experiment that will turn out very badly for children?” she asked.

Higgins added: “If objective maleness and femaleness have no intrinsic meaning…, there remains no justification for maintaining sex-segregated spaces anywhere for anyone. And that’s exactly what the ‘trans’ cult seeks.”
