Hot short read. From the misfits anthology.

Adrian is a rookie in the police force she is partnered with a hot asshole guy named Trace. They have a hate relationship with each other. A day while on duty an incident happens that makes them see why they have a attraction to each other. The book is so hot it was burning up my kindle pages. I really hope this short read becomes a full book someday. 5 star ⭐️ review.

I will confess I am addicted to anthologies. When the anthology benefits some form of charity that makes the book even better. I like anthologies for a couple of reasons. I get to discover new authors without investing in a full length novel. I get a "quick fix" from authors I read while I wait for their next great novel.

In this anthology I got my Kimberly Knight fix. Her short story, That Summer, gave me a teaser of Blake's future story. I guess at this time I would call That Summer a spin-off from the Club 24 series. Blake is Brandon's younger brother, the one his parents look towards to fill Brandon's shoes after he was sidelined because of a football injury. Blake has different ideas. His summer of community service will have your mouth dropping. Shock and Awe!!!

Even after reading the complete anthology, That Summer was still my favorite. My fix complete, I just have to wait until December for her next book.

On The Beat by C.L. Matthews

I am in absolute love with Trace and Adrian. Two cops who fall in love?? On duty? Give me every word.

Adrian is a rookie who get partnered up with a jerk to beat all the other jerks. They can't stand the sight of each other but duty calls so they stick together to do their job. An incident changes their story path and they realize that under all that hate intense mind melding passion was brewing.

This short was sexy, exhilarating and totally on fire. I don't think I have ever fallen in love with characters as easily or in such a short time as I did with On The Beat. I kept wanting more and more and I hope someday this short gets turned into a full book.

I loved all of the stories in this anthology. My favorites though are That Summer by Kimberly Knight and Ty by Elizabeth York.

That summer has Blake Montgomery in it. If you've read Kimberly Knight's Club 24 series then you might remember Blake as Brandon Montgomery's little brother. This is Blake's story of living in the shadows of his football star big brother and becoming the man he needed to become. The story is great & most of us can relate to it in some way.

Ty was packed with mystery & left me wanting more. I wish it had gone on just a bit more and not left me hanging on wondering if Ty protects Savvy or not & what really happened to her.

OMG this book left me wanting more Blake!!!!! I love all of Kimberly Knights' books. I absolutely adored the club 24 series and was so excited to see that Blake was going to have his own story. This was truly a great introduction into the character that Blake can be other than just Brandon's brother. Definitely a must-read!

A great cause, and wonderful stories!

This anthology was full of wonderful stories. I absolutely love when authors get together to raise money for an amazing cause.

The first story That Summer by Kimberly Knight made me want more Blake. I fell in love with him in the Club 24 series, but seeing some back story made me love him even more.

Every other story was great too - lots of love, sexy times, and emotions were flowing throughout each one.
