Role overview
Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to project team on gender, inclusion and protection for promoting positive behavior and transforming harmful social norms and practices for combating gender based violence.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Essential:
Human Resources
• At least Bachelor’s degree in any social science subjects with preferably with gender studies Background.
• At least 5 years work experience in the sector of gender equality, social inclusion, GBV and safeguarding particularly working with women, children and youth in the vulnerable community.

Gender, Inclusion and protection
• Good knowledge and understanding of gender equality, social inclusion, GBV issues and policies in Nepal.
• Experience of working with women and youth empowerment projects.

Capacity building and facilitation
• Experience of facilitating training on gender, social inclusion and protection with key thematic expertise on GBV
• Inputs in preparation of training materials and reference documents

Networking and influencing
• Experience of networking with government line agencies and other development stakeholders.
• Ability to analyses information, evaluate options, and follow the strategic directions for influencing key stakeholders.

Collaboration and communication Skills
• Excellent written and spoken English and country local languages (Nepali).
• Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels including regional, global colleagues, partners, consortiums, poor and marginalized communities and other stakeholders.

Information Technology - Good level of computer skills (Windows, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Internet).

Travel requirement: Able to travel in project areas occasionally and spend time away from work- base location and home.
