Porsche Wins It's 19th 24Hrs of LeMans (Barely)

And I do mean barely. It is not hard to predict that an LMP1 car was going to win this race. What was had to predict is how difficult it would be to win.The Toyota TS050 faired quite poorly and the Porsche 919 had it's own struggles. The winning car spent considerable time in the pits for repair. For a while it looked like an LMP2 car would seize the overall victory. Not that it would have bothered anyone. That is where the real race was anyway. The LMP2 winner led for more than 2 hours and finished only a lap down. It was an excellent 1-2 finish for the Jackie Chan DC Racing team. It was a really a good performance by the LMP2 field (take note ACO). GTE Pro had an unfortunate ending for our friends at Pratt & Miller. Jordan Taylor suffered a cut tire on the Corvette on the final lap, handing victory to Aston Martin. For more on LeMans.

Show Cars

Show cars are usually built for promotional purposes. They usually consist of parts that are outdated, worn out or damaged. But perfect for display purposes. At Indy Competition Services we have done several show cars this year and have others to offer for sale. One inexpensive example is the Dallara Indy car replica pictured above. We can provide you with a show car for any number of purposes. These include trade shows, showroom display, restaurants and lounge decor, museums and more. We even did one for a wall hanging in a "man cave". See Superman below!

Formula 1 & Indycar Conversions

In the current state of motor racing, leased engines have become the normal state of affairs at the professional level. Formula1, Indycar, IMSA and even NASCAR. At the expiration of the lease term all the engines are returned. Then either warehoused or destroyed. Consider the gentleman that purchased all the LMP2 Lola's at the Level 5 Motorsport auction. Only to find out that he could not get the Honda engines that the cars used. Thus their is a lot of very nice race cars sitting around doing nothing or at best expensive show cars. At Indy Competition Services we can engineer, manufacture and convert these cars to use readily available racing engines to breathe life into these now lifeless wonders.

Cadillac CTSV-R Pirelli World Challenge Car

This excellent PWC car was one of the cars that Pratt & Miller built for the Cadillac factory team. This would be a great car for SCCA, NASA,SVRA or track day events. It comes with a large spares package. More photos of this excellent Cadillac.

I know some of you are NASCAR fans. Even if you are just casual or even closet NASCAR fans ( you know who you are). Their website is pretty informative. The Twitter feed is pretty good too.

Private sale is just that. Just because you might not see what you are looking for on our website, does not mean that one is not available. Many sellers, and buyers as well want anonymity. Not just for themselves. but their cars as well. If you are interested in working privately, contact us.

For those that missed the last week's SVRA event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, catch this weekend's event at Mid-Ohio. The Fan Guide will give all the information you need for a weekend at Mid-Ohio. As far as lodging, the Quality Inn and Comfort Inn in Belleville are probably full. But Mansfield has other accomodations. Enjoy steaks at K.C's in Belleville.

Dallara IR4 Indycar $55,000

This Dallara Indycar is setup for road racing. This car was originally built for a Honda engine. This would car would be a good choice for conversion to another engine. For more about this car go to Dallara.

Ilmor Chevrolet 265A Engine - Incomplete

1998 Volvo Tractor/ Concept Trailer

This is perfect for vintage or club racing. It can carry 3 cars and maybe more.Most professional race trailers have a lot of cabinets and benches, not this one. It does have a lounge/office area.

The Diffuser Explained

This is the diffuser on the Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT. Pretty wild looking huh? Many amateur racers and import tuners often make their own. Usually just guessing or whatever is available to fit that they found online. To understand the diffuser Race Car Engineering has a great article on them.
