The Manitoba government will release tenders for additional highway asphalt resurfacing and water & sewer projects in the coming weeks, Premier Brian Pallister announced June 10. The projects will be funded out of the previously announced economic recovery program.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the entire Canadian construction industry. Worksites around the country have been temporarily halted or delayed due to the safety measures taken by health officials to reduce the spread of the virus. Implementing new safety protocols, including supplying necessary protective equipment, and challenges with supply chains have affected project timelines and costs.

These challenges, among many others, have been cause for concern for CCA and many of our members. In order to better advocate on our members’ behalf, CCA has compiled a short survey on how the novel coronavirus has personally impacted our members’ operations and finances.
