COVID-19 financial health survey

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the entire Canadian construction industry. Worksites around the country have been temporarily halted or delayed due to the safety measures taken by health officials to reduce the spread of the virus. Implementing new safety protocols, including supplying necessary protective equipment, and challenges with supply chains have affected project timelines and costs.
These challenges, among many others, have been cause for concern for CCA and many of our members. In order to better advocate on our members’ behalf, CCA has compiled a short survey on how the novel coronavirus has personally impacted our members’ operations and finances. We ask you to share and encourage your members to complete this survey to help CCA gain further insight on the scope and impact of COVID-19.  You can access the survey here.

But even for Canada, using this data is like trying to drive forward looking through the rear-view mirror. And given the instant and outsized effects of COVID-19 on the economy, that’s a real problem. So, even with all their limitations, do today’s data give any cause for optimism about near-term growth?
