      • Take Route 195 West from airport to I-95 South toward Washington.
      • Follow I-95 South to the Capital Beltway (Rt. 495 West) toward Silver Spring.
      • Take Exit 39, Rt. 190, River Road toward Potomac.Follow River Road approximately 1.2 miles. The entrance to Congressional Country Club will be on your left at the third light.   • Dress Code
    • Clubhouse & Grounds

      • Proper attire is required at all times in the common areas in and around the Clubhouse
      • No torn clothing permitted on Club grounds
      • Gentlemen shall remove their hats in all areas of the Clubhouse, except in the Fitness Center and Indoor Tennis Courts
      • Golf hats and visors must be worn with the bill facing forward on Club grounds 

      Clubhouse Main Level
      Gentlemen & Boys
      Men and boys age 11 and over must wear jackets, slacks, non-athletic shoes and collared shirts after 6 PM and during Club events (e.g., Sunday Brunch, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, etc.). 

      Ladies & Girls
      Ladies must wear comparable attire.

      In General

      • Not permitted: Jeans or athletic attire.
      • Occasionally the requirements may be relaxed for special occasions, but only with advanced notice and approval from the General Manager.
      • The Monday Night Pasta dress code is the same as for the Lower Level Clubhouse Lower Level.

      Chophouse, House Grill, Founder's Pub & Library 
      Gentlemen & Boys

      •  Men and boys must have a collared shirt.
        Golf Shorts as specified in the Golf Dress Code are allowed. 

      In General

      • Tennis attire may be worn, but after 6 PM, warm-ups are required.
      • Fitness attire may be worn until 10 AM.
      • Jeans, which do not have tears or excessive fading are allowed.

      Golf Dress Code
      The Golf dress code pertains to all golfing areas at all times including the golf course, practice range, putting greens, practice pitching, chipping areas, the Performance Center and Indoor Studio. 

      Gentlemen & Boys

      • Men and boys must have a collared shirt that is in good taste and designed for golf.
      • All shirts must be tucked into dress slacks or golf shorts.
      • Men’s shorts must stop at the knee and be no shorter than 5” above the knee. 

      Ladies & Girls

      •  Ladies may wear collarless shirts as long as they are conservatively tailored.
      • Not permitted: Straps, halter-tops, tanktops, racer backs and bare midriffs.
      • Dresses, skorts, skirts or shorts must be no shorter than mid-thigh. 

      In General

      • Not permitted: Jeans, cutoffs, cargo shorts or pants, sweat pants, bathing suits, athletic shorts, gym apparel, or tennis shorts.
      • Congressional is a spikeless facility. Metal and ceramic spikes are prohibited. 

      Tennis Dress Code

      • All players must wear white tennis attire, which includes: shirts, skirts, shorts, socks, wristbands, headband, hats, visors compression sleeves and compression socks.
      • Apparel may have trim color or color pattern of three inches or less.
      • Hair accessories may have one inch or less of color. 

      Gentlemen & Boys

      • Men and boys must wear collar or crew shirts with set in sleeves.
      • All crew neck shirts must be of an athletic specific design, fabric and label. No cotton T-Shirts will be allowed. No large branding logos on the front or back of shirts are allowed..
      • The Tennis staff reserves the right to determine if any shirt is within the dress code limits. 

      Ladies & Girls
      Ladies may wear black or white athletic leggings (tight from the knee to ankle) or capris under a skirt. 

      In General

      • Outerwear, jackets, pants, sweaters and vests may be any color.
      • Pants are defined as loose from the knee to ankle.
      • Shoes must be tennis specific and at least 50% white with non-marking soles. Any shoes which are cleated or ripple-soled (cross trainers), are prohibited on any court. 

      Aquatics Dress Code

      • Swimming attire around the pool should be appropriate for a family friendly facility.
      • Swimming attire is permitted in the locker rooms, sports corridor, outdoor terraces on the pool level, and sidewalk pathway from the lower parking lot to the pool entrance.
      • Cover-ups are required in the Clubhouse, at the Stone Bar and on the Great Lawn. 
  • Cell Phone Usage
      • Cells phones must be turned off or be in silent/vibrate mode when on Club premises.
      • Talking on cell phones is only allowed in the following areas:
        • In the Men's or Ladies' Locker Rooms
        • In the Swim Locker Rooms
        • In the Parking Lots
        • On the Golf Courses except for the first tee of both courses (provided usage on the course does not interfere with the pace of play or the enjoyment of the game by other players)
      •  Texting on cell phones and other devices and using these devices for reading is permitted on Club premises provided they are kept in the silent/vibrate mode.
