Records came crumbling down at the Division I district track meet in Mason, this week.

A total of four district records fell between the boys and girls competitions. On the boys' side, Withrow senior Amir Willis set a new meet mark with a time of 47.73 in the 400-meter. His time easily surpassed the time of 48.38 set by Mason's Amit Maity in 2015.

Three records fell on the girls' side of the meet with the biggest coming on Wednesday night. Kings' 4x800 relay team smashed Mason's 2005 mark of 9:18.80 – recording a time of 9:11.33. In fact, the event's runner-up, Mason, also topped the 2005 time, recording a 9:17.78.

In the 1600-meter, Turpin junior Samantha Bush set the new district record with a time of 4:51.72, Friday night. The old record belonged to Mason's Lauren Wood. Wood ran a 4:52.50 in 2013.

Rounding out the meet records was Kings senior Karleigh Conner in the 800-meter. Conner, who was also a member of the Knights' district-setting 4x800 time, ran a 2:12.33 in the 800. Conner's run broke a 32-year record of 2:12.70 set by Turpin legend Kim Betz in 1986.

In the team competitions, Mason pulled off a sweep winning both the boys and girls district titles. The Comets edged St. Xavier 114-108 in the boys' competition while the girls dominated with 120 points. Princeton placed second in the girls' side with 99.
