I super looveee this song ❤ Ophelia is the famous leading lady character from Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet”, and here Lucia interprets her sorrow after being rejected by her love interest, Prince Hamlet of Denmark and losing her father after being killed by Hamlet. Ophelia herself was drowned after wandering in distress. I swear the metaphors used in the lyrics are the most beautiful and emotional of many many lyrics I have read.
