New York code enforcement officer Griffin Dunlap inherits two neighboring properties in Nocturne Falls, and just in time, since the down payment is due soon on his own dream house in Brooklyn. So he heads south in hopes of a quick sale.

Witch and cat rescuer Stevie Mercer can’t bear the thought of losing her cozy cottage. After all the improvements she’s made to the place, it’s the perfect Zen atmosphere for the meditation classes she teaches there. Plus, all the neighborhood stray cats might starve without her.

Despite their vast differences, the more Griffin gets to know the beguiling temptress next door, the more he wants her. But business is business, and when an investor makes him a good offer, he’s ready to cash out. Suddenly, strange occurrences threaten to frighten off the superstitious investor. Griffin wonders if Stevie could be behind what are surely tricks and illusions. As the pranks escalate into the danger zone, Stevie is forced to put her trust in the man who could either save or destroy her world.

Naughtiness 2 *

Absolutely love this book, another beautiful story and adored the characters as well as how the story unfolds.

As always I will not give spoilers, however I will say is that this beautiful romantic supernatural mystery has everything from impish kitties and mysterious happenings to giggles, fun and a beautiful story for Stevie and Griffin, we do see some older faces and some new ones, definitely recommend reading.

Thank you Wynter for writing it and giving me the honour of reading it.

Nocturne Falls is a town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. It’s just a show for the tourists to hide the fact that vampires, werewolves, and witches, live there. So when Griffin Dunlap (New York code enforcement officer) ininherits two cottages in Nocturne Falls, he heads to Georgia to get them sold because the down payment is due soon on the town house he wants in Brooklyn. Stevie Mercer (witch and cat rescuer) is just beside herself at the thought of losing her cottage. She’s put so much of herself and improvements into the place to create a spot for her meditation classes.
And what will happen to all the cats?  She’s desperately trying to ignore how drawn she is to this good looking man, in a sexy Clark Kent kinda way.
As Griffin spends more and more time getting to know the goddess like beauty next door, the more he’s drawn to her... but (having been wiped out by divorce) he really needs to sell. So when a persistent investor makes him a good offer, he’s ready to go for it until some weird and strange things start to happen and the investor, being superstitious starts to have second thoughts. Griffin believes there must be a logical explanation. He can’t accept Stevie’s paranormal ideas. But as things escalate, Griffin is forced to admit that maybe they need a little help.
Stevie called her cousin Bree to come hold a séance which will hopefully clear things up.
And what about Stevie and Griffin? Well....
Bree also has some pretty exciting news about
The Freedom Moon camp in Florida.....

This is the third story in the Nocturne Falls Universe by this author and I am almost seeing a pattern, meaning that I might really like the next book. I find a certain lack of consistency in this author. First book I didn't like much, second I loved and this one I didn't like much.
This story focuses on Stevie, a witch with tons of baggage who is more concerned with saving stray cats than solving her own problems. I mean, cats are lovely and if you do this to help, instead to avoid other stuff, I would not even comment on it. I am talking a type of women who willingly enters a harmful relationship thinking her love will fix the guy. Therefore, Stevie who can't fix herself but thinks she should save everything and everyone else, did not really inspire me to care about her. Griffin was even worse, his baggage is based on unconfirmed information he never bother to check, and one personal mistake which now define his whole set of values. Coupled with him being a code enforcement officer who takes his work wherever he goes, made him just a complete jerk I did not really want to read about. It was a struggle to get through the book. On many pages I caught myself rolling eyes and saying "oh please". I mean he is alone, no friends, no relationship, no one cares abut him, at least that is the impression I got, and his first instinct is to attack everyone he meets and point out to their mistakes. And while he does that, he contemplates how aone he is. Disguisting character.
Then inconsistencies… All the Nocturne Falls fans know that there is only one rule, and that is not to tell ordinary people and outsiders about the existence of supernatural beings, especially in Nocturne Falls. So what does Steve do? She explains all about witches to a complete ordinary person and an outsider all about witches, the day after they met. And she thinks it is all good as long as he does not think it's real.
And another one of my favourites is that all Griffin wants to do is evict Stevie and sell the house as soon as possible but he is hoping that she will not dislike him after that. Need I say more?
If you like helpless heroines who barely take responsibility for anything in their lives but spent lifetime of guilt for something that they could not influence in any way, and annoying irritating reluctant saviours, this is the book for you.
The Nocturne Falls reading order is: The Vampire's Mail Order Bride (Nocturne Falls #1), The Werewolf Meets His Match (Nocturne Falls #2), The Gargoyle Gets His Girl (Nocturne Falls, #3), The Professor Woos The Witch (Nocturne Falls, #4), and The Witch’s Halloween Hero (Nocturne Falls #4.5) in Spell of the Ball Anthology, The Werewolf's Christmas Wish (Nocturne Falls #4.6) in Hex the Halls Anthology, The Vampire’s Fake Fiancée (Nocturne Falls #5), A Vampire's Valentine Surprise (Nocturne Falls #5.5), Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #1), The Shifter Romances The Writer (Nocturne Falls #6), Miss Frost Ices The Imp : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #2), The Vampire’s True Love Trials (Nocturne Falls #6.5) in Taming the Vampire collection, Miss Frost Saves The Sandman : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #3), The Dragon Finds Forever (Nocturne Falls #7), The Vampire's Accidental Wife (Nocturne Falls #8), Miss Frost Cracks A Caper (Jayne Frost #4), When Birdie Babysat Spider: A Jayne Frost Short (Jayne Frost #4.5), Miss Frost Braves the Blizzard (Jayne Frost #5), and ever growing series of Nocturne Universe Novels, which surpassed 30 by now. Great world to get yourself immersed in.

The Yin to His Yang by Wynter Daniels

A paranormal novella from the Kindle world of Nocturne Falls where every day is Halloween allowing the local residents to walk openly among the tourists.

A Witch, cats, and a trouble making ghost are all in the path of Griffin selling the houses he owns in Nocturne Falls.
A slow start. A happy ending makes us content. The grandmother had a cute pushy personality.

Stevie Mercer’s home is the Zen center of Nocturne Falls, she also has rescue cats. Griffin Dunlap has just inherited his Aunts house and the property next door, Stevie Mercer’s home. Griffin wants to fix up and sell the properties and use the money as a down payment for a house in New York. Stevie doesn’t want to lose her home or her cats. Neither is looking for love but when strange things and accidents start to happen they are thrown together. This story has magic, mystery and some laughs. You will love been back in Nocturne Falls! Welcome to Nocturne Falls where tourists go to see a Halloween theme town and unbeknownst to them is full of witches, vampires, genies and other supernatural beings.
Stevie Mercer is a white witch and cat rescuer. She also holds meditation and yoga classes in her home. Her landlady, who had the house next to her, has died and she'll miss her. Stevie hopes she'll be able to stay in her home, she's put a lot of money and work into it. She still has 1 1/2 years of lease left and she doesn't want to move. She finally meets the new owner who happens to be the landlady's Great Nephew, Griffin Dunlap who happens to be a Code Enforcement Officer from N.Y.C. She's quite drawn to the handsome man but he's an unbeliever of the supernatural world.
Griffin thinks she the most beautiful woman he has ever seen even if she seems like a hippie type. He informs her he wants to sell the two houses because he wants to buy a townhouse in Brooklyn. Even though they are attracted to each other, things don't go so smoothly. Griffin has an investor who is interested in buying both place at a nice price. However, some weird and supernatural things are happening in his Aunt's house. Will these two ever get together and will they find out why these strange things are happening? You'll have to read yourselves to find out the outcome.
I loved this book and all the characters. Has humor, suspense, mystery, magic and romance. Who could as for more and I highly recommend it.

This is a great book; this book is part of the Nocturne Falls Universe and is written by Wynter Daniels. The Nocturne Falls series is written by Kristen Painter and I was so happy that these new books by new authors were asked to write a story in the town. Nocturne Falls is a town that celebrates Halloween every day of the year and also a place that paranormal’s can live and not have to hide what they really are. Stevie Mercer is a witch and cat rescuer she finally has a place to call her home and loves her cozy cottage. When the owner of the cottage dies and the new owner Griffin Dunlap shows up, she finds out that he wants to sell it since he lives in New York. When they meet they both feel a spark between them. When mysterious things start happening at both of the houses Griffin and Stevie need to work together to find out what is really happening. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This was the ‘love came at unexpected time’ kind of book. Cute book, full of warm feeling. Griffin had good reasons to sell the inherited properties, yet Stevie also had very good reasons to keep them. And although I got frustrated on Griffin’s choices, I understood them. But then strange things happened, and they had to teamed up to face it.

Although in general the book was great, my reservations came from the main characters themselves. I didn’t really like them. Griffins oftentimes came of as a jerk, and Stevie as weak and helpless. I have to admit that the heroine trait effected my opinion a lot. I love strong heroine.

I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

Another installment to the Nocturne Falls Universe series. Even though it is part of a series, this book is a stand alone. It features Stevie, who is a resident of Nocturne Falls. Stevie is a witch who lives in a small cabin on the outskirts of town and has a cat rescue in her home. Griffin is a code enforcement agent from New York who inherits his great aunt's home, and Stevie's. This book is sugary sweet with a few twists.

This was an interesting read. The characters were likeable and had a certain depth, and charm. The plot was solid and interesting, certainly made for an interesting read.

The only complaint I would make is that it could do with a fresh edit as certain words were missing that would have made some sentences make more sense.

Otherwise this was a good book.

Wynter Daniels' newest book in the Nocturne Falls Universe was a great addition to the town. Griffin and Stevie are relatable characters. The story takes a natural progression although some of the issues seemed a bit far-fetched for the situation they found themselves in. Overall very little I didn't like, and the chemistry between the two bubbled before being all out love at first sight.

2023 bk 267. Daniels is one of the more precise of the Nocturne Falls Universe Authors - by more precise I mean, she gets the names of streets, the feel of the community. Unfortunately, I feel like she was using this method to attract readers to her own series as a kind of "gotcha interested" advertisement - that is why I marked it down to 4 stars. Otherwise, the plot was good, the characters interesting, and it kept my attention.

It was neat to see the whole "Opposites attract" sort of work, then to see the characters realize they aren't that different after all.

The first half was pretty good but then it went off the rails. It's a short book but there was still repeated information, the complete attitude change was forced, and it became completely random.

REVIEW
Stevie hasn't had an easy life and since she moved to Nocturne Falls things have become somewhat more stable and she has been able to have a life of sorts. She loves what she does and also rescuing cats which brings her much joy. Her grandma however thinks she needs more in her life and this silly, crazy old lady will find a way to make it happen.

Griff was raised by his father who hates anything to do with paranormal.
However Griff is going to find himself up to his eyeballs in it.
This strictly by the book construction guy aka also code enforcement man is going to break a ton of rules one of those being wanting a woman in his life. He has a goal, go to Nocturne Falls, Sell the houses his great aunt left him, go back to NY and buy his dream home. Alas we don't always know what we want.

The ending of this story made me do a happy dance. It gives hope of more to come in a previous series !! Loved it...

The saying goes opposites attract and this story brings that saying right to life. These two are opposites, Griffin with his need for everything to be ordered and for rules to be followed to the letter and Stevie with her happy-go-lucky attitude and very un-ordered lifestyle. However together they’ve got the potential to make a balance exactly as the title suggests. A yin and yang scenario. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. Although I did get so frustrated with one of the minor characters, so pushy he made me growl at least once. A wonderful story to be added to the Nocturne Falls Universe.

This was a lovely read that was fast paced and hard to put down!

It was a cute story with characters that were well described and quirky in their own ways. They came to life for me. I love it when a book turns into a mind movie, and this one did. I look forward to more from this author in the NFU!

But the both have chemistry. What is a landlord to do. There is, magic, a spirit and the usual creature of Halloween.
