The staff was super friendly, kind and very helpful. It was a heartwarming stay with beautiful.people. The food was really good, happy it was vegetarian food. Very delicious and a good cook. Also the cakes were to die for. Lol! For dinner there's only 1 option and its a surprise everytime 😊, so if you like this, this is a great place! We appreciated the cooking of the chef. We slept 3 nights in the wooden coffee cabana and it was lovely, with our own bathroom. And a spacious cute room and our own hammock. So peaceful it was in the middle between trees. Loved it. Sometimes in the bathroom there were at night some "animal guests" saying Hi from the jungle :), ... this makes it more adventurous :) lol. Utopia lays right at the river, so you can go for a swim when its hot. Its an amazing location were you can really come to peace. So beautiful. We did stay longer bc we enjoyed it so much. Its a truely amazing place, great location, amazing.views around✨️

We loved our stay here. The property is breathtaking and the location is perfect. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. We are family style every night and made some lovely friends here. We are a couple but it would also be such a good spot for a solo traveller too. There is also a little beach onto the river at the hostel where you can have a chill day relaxing. We only had three nights here but we wish we had more.

Very nice place at the river. Just 1 hour to hike to the waterfall, if you don’t want to do a tour. The restaurant is also very good, but there are also almost no other restaurants around.

Amazing location in the forest and right on the river. Free yoga in the mornings. Lovely vegetarian food. They can organise tours and transport for you. Not a party hostel like some of the others - peacefully nestled in nature. Location still great and close to Semuc Champey.
