LaVar Ball’s troll game has taken aim at Warriors coach Steve Kerr as the bombastic basketball dad derisively called Kerr the “Milli Vanilli of coaching.”
“How do you coach KD (Kevin Durant), Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson?” Ball asked rhetorically. “You know how you coach them? You don’t. Turn your back and let them do what they do.
“That team was put together by Mark Jackson,” Ball told Lithuanian basketball writer Jonas Miklovas. “And now (Kerr) jumped up and (is trying to) take all the credit. That’s why I’m calling him Milli Vanilli of coaching.”
Ball’s latest outlandish claim comes in response to Kerr saying three weeks ago the father of Lakers top pick Lonzo Ball is the “Kardashian of the NBA.” But news apparently travels a bit slower in Lithuania, where the 50-year-old Ball now coaches two of his sons’ basketball team.

Kerr, who refused to comment Monday on Ball’s latest blast, has openly questioned why the media paid any attention to Ball’s opinions. Kerr used the Kardashian comparison while taking offense to Ball’s claim the Lakers had tuned out coach Luke Walton, Kerr’s friend and former assistant coach.

Andre Iguodala was one Warrior willing to take the bait Monday. He said he couldn’t help but appreciate how Ball has kept his brand alive through the media.
“LaVar is smart, marketing-wise,” Iguodala said Monday. “See, because we keep talking about him. I like LaVar. That’s my mans.”

Since the Grammys were on Sunday and Milli Vanilli was once stripped of its Grammy for lip-synching, we’ll at least give Ball points for timing in his latest ridiculous rant.
