Enes Kanter broke down why he repeatedly tries to troll LeBron James

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid gets the most notoriety for his social media persona and in-game trash talk, but he isn’t the only NBA big man who excels in that area.

The New York Knicks’ Enes Kanter has an excellent social media game with a knack for mocking LeBron James. And according to Kanter, he doesn’t have any plans to stop.

In an interview with ESPN, Kanter broke down his beef with LeBron. It all boiled over into an on-court scuffle back in November.

Kanter said via ESPN:

And then it was the first game I was with the Knicks and then he came and before the game he said we should’ve drafted Dennis Smith Jr. And not just me, but most of our guys felt like it was disrespectful to Frank [Ntilikina] and we actually sat down with Frank and talked to him and said, “Hey you gotta step up for yourself, man.”

Then I was in the game and they were pushing each other and I’m like, “This is a 19-year-old kid against a 260-pound dude. This is not fair.” So I get in there and we were face-to-face and we trash-talked a little bit. After the game I called him “queen” or “princess” or whatever.

But I would do anything to take his focus away, distract him. People ask me, “Does it work?” No it does not work. But I’m trying.

You have to respect the honesty to acknowledge that trolling LeBron does not work while still continuing to troll LeBron.

We won’t get to see four games between LeBron and Kanter next season anymore, so Kanter will have to make the most of the little time he has to get under LeBron’s skin … or at least try.
