The Importance of Community in Crypto

To start with, let’s take a look at what a community is.

You could say, that a community is simply a group of people living in the same place, or area; that a community, is simply based on people’s geographic location in comparison to one another. A certain neighborhood, or area could be considered a community. A community can also be defined as a group of people who share common interests, or identify similarly to one another - regardless of their locations.

In cryptocurrency, it’s very much the latter of these two interpretations. Cryptocurrency is a global phenomenon, and it’s brought together masses of people, that otherwise would have no common interests. The community that’s grown around the cryptospace in the past years has developed rapidly. There’s even sub-communities that are centered around particular projects and cryptocurrencies. It’s these sub-communities that can literally make, or break, a blockchain-based project.

Blockchain protocol is greatly determined by the communities surrounding them. If the community doesn’t like or want a certain aspect of the blockchain protocol, they can vote it out. It’s this digital democracy that’s genuinely putting the power back into the people’s hands.

A strong and unified community that forms around projects in the cryptospace is essential to its success. Whenever you’re looking into a project to potentially support, it’s always a good idea to check out their community. If a project doesn’t actively manage their community, a vital part of the existence of their project, how do you think they will manage the project itself?

Creating outlets for the community to voice their opinions is hardly worth much, if that feedback isn’t considered. A project which builds itself around the consensus of the community, is one that stays true to the core values of cryptocurrency itself.

Bitcoin was designed to enable peer to peer transactions, without the need to trust a third party or central authority. Cutting out the need for central banks, circumventing questionable governments, and creating an authentic democracy, by the people and for the people, is the foundational principles that it was built upon.

These are all things you should look for when you’re scouting projects that you’d like to support. Here at Vice Industry Token, we’ve opened as many lines of communication possible for our community. We want to hear your ideas, your concerns, and we want the community to be able to hold us accountable. We’ve not only opened limitless lines of communication with our community, but strive to broaden the size of it as well. We’ve opened chat rooms in ten different languages with community managers from each respective region, to help not only spread the word about our project, but to make it easier for those who are a part, to voice their concerns, regardless of language barriers.

We invite all those interested in our project, to join our community. Learn about our project, ask questions and give us your opinion! What we’re building is revolutionary, and we welcome you to be a part of it.
