Madison High School Band Plans Annual Tag Day

Students will be going around Vienna and Oakton for donations to support the band program.

The James Madison High School band will kick off fundraising efforts for the school year with its annual Tag Day on Saturday, Sept. 8. Decked out in their uniforms, band students will be knocking on doors in Vienna and Oakton from 9:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m.

Tag Day aims to seek contributions from Madison school district residents to support the music program. Due to limited school funding, band students typically raise money to cover travel, competition entry fees, instruments, equipment, musical instructors and student leadership training.

The donations are tax deductible. Cash or checks made out to JMHS parents will be accepted. If the band students do not make it to your street, you can also mail donations to James Madison High School, ATTN: Band Parents - TAGDAY 2500 James Madison Drive Vienna, VA 22181 or visit the band's website at www.jmhsband.org.
