Rationale: The Virginia Governor's Office, Virginia Department of Education, and the Virginia Department of Health, have provided guidance on the reopening of school for Fall 2020. SCPS staff, parents, community, and School Board have provided input into a design for reopening that is aligned with the guidelines. The draft plan takes into account requests for mitigation in areas where the SCPS plan exceeds the state guidance documents. This is being presented to the School Board to get feedback on the plan's status so that we can move forward with ensuring that students are able to return to school in August.
