When it comes to apps such as Tinder it's not easy to know whether a match is looking for a meaningful relationship or just hoping to get in your pants.
And one man is making the task of discovering this even trickier by penning sweet messages for his matches - that aren't actually as romantic as they seem on first glance.
A Tinder user, going by the name Drew, shared screenshots of some of his conversations with women on Reddit .
Drew was asked by one of his Tinder matches, a woman named Emilia, to write a Shakespeare-style sonnet on the topic of first love.
He rose to the task and sent her back a beautifully written verse - with a cheeky hidden message. It read:
"She places hand to chest with heart a-blaze,
Each halting thump a dance of heat and joy.
No other one could brighten up her days,
Delight nights' embrace with caring boy.
No earthly sight as great as she to him,
Undressing nude in morning bedside light.
Declaring unbound feeling on a whim,
Engagement? Marriage? Wedding dresses white?
Soon bride and groom, they loved with all their heart,
Expecting everything to stay the same.
Mirages ripple, warp and tear apart;
Idealized people's pictures do the same.
Love lost is better than a love not shared,
In some pursuits, the rich are those who dared."
The woman was incredibly impressed with his work, replying: "Oh my god. Made my whole night, that was beautiful."
But then she got another surprise as Drew instructed her to go back and read the first letter of each line.
The letters spell out a very cheeky message - SEND NUDES.
And despite the nature of the request, the woman, was even more impressed.
She said: "LMAO. Okay night officially made. That was great I'm still laughing."
But the fun didn't stop there.
Drew then suggested she take a look at the first letter of the second word on each line.
These letters spelled out 'PHONE NUMBER PLS'.
And the trick worked wonders as Emilia replied saying he "deserved" her number after doing all of that.
However it's not the first time Drew had written a sonnet for a woman on the dating app.
He also wrote a similar sonnet on the topic of vaping for another Tinder match - which contained the same message about nude photographs.
People went wild for Drew's creative dating plan.
"Jesus christ you even wrote it in iambic pentameter," said one.
"I’m in awe," commented another.
"This is my competition on Tinder? No wonder I can't get any matches," joked a third.
After his post went viral, Drew told Bored Panda he had written the sonnets because he thrives on impressing people.
He said: "I thrive on genuinely investing that effort to make the other party unexpectedly impressed. I always loved writing poetry and it has turned out a great way to break the ice."
