Sanderson Arcade prepares for more stores re-opening

The team at Morpeth’s Sanderson Arcade shopping centre are preparing for more of the stores to re-open from next Monday. (June 15th)

A number of key essential retailers have traded at the centre throughout the lockdown including M&S, Vision Express, Home Bargains and Pets at Home.

Next week will see the centre welcome back some of the stores which have had their doors closed since March 23rd and the Sanderson Arcade team are working with all businesses to ensure a safe re-opening for the centre’s staff and shoppers.

On Monday (June 15th) Mountain Warehouse, Waterstones, Jewellers Guild, Clarks, Body Shop and Timpsons will re-open as well phone shops O2 and Vodaphone.

EE will follow opening on Tuesday 16th, JoJo Maman Bebe will open on Thursday 18th, Laura Ashley on Friday 19th and Next are aiming to re-open on Saturday June 20th. New Look is working towards Monday June 22nd with Seasalt aiming for a re-opening on June 29th.

A number of other stores and café’s at Sanderson Arcade are yet to announce their re-opening plans. All new opening hours will be updated on the Sanderson Arcade website and shoppers are being asked to check the website for individual store times before planning their trip. Some stores are also opening and operating on appointment/booking only, more details to follow.

Stores will have restrictions on the numbers of customers allowed in at any one time and shoppers are being asked to respect the 2m distance throughout the centre.

Sanderson Arcade Centre Manager, Lottie Thompson, said: “We are working closely with all our returning store teams to ensure that we have a smooth and safe return to trading next week.

“We would ask customers to plan their journeys and to check opening times before they visit. We are really fortunate here at Sanderson Arcade that we do have our lovely outdoor piazza area and wide walkways between the Arcade and the Stanley Terrace stores.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming our shoppers back in this first phase of stores re-opening and the safety of our visitors and staff will of course be our priority.”
