Parking is available for a fee of $8 in the Tufts Parking Garage at 419 Boston Ave, Medford, MA.
Registration is required for admission. Once you have registered for the event you will be sent directions from the parking garage to the event location (Sophia Gordon Hall).
Tufts can be reached by public transportation, the closest T station is Davis Square, which is approximately a 15 minute walk from Sophia Gordon Hall.

Workshop description
9:30 - 11:30am - Developing a Framework
The initial portion of the workshop will highlight several characteristics essential for reliable screening and progress monitoring of early reading skills, and offer pros and cons of existing measures. It will also provide insights into the way assessment data can inform instructional goals and groupings. Featuring Dr, Nadine Gaab, Harvard University and Dr. Melissa Orkin, Tufts University.
11:30 - 12:30pm - Round Table Lunch* (generously provided by Raso's Bar and Grille)
12:30 - 2:30pm - Practitioner Panel/Q&A
The second portion of the workshop will feature practitioners and administrators sharing results and lessons learned from implementing early screening, and intervention practices. Opportunity for questions and discussion will wrap up the session. Featuring Dr. Darci Burns, Hill for Literacy and New England practitioners and administrators.
