4TH GRADERS - On Sunday, in celebration of Reformation Day, we will present our 4th grade class with a bible and catechism.  This year Lily Meer is our 4th grade class.  May these both be a blessing to you!

RITE OF CONFIRMATION for Gina Bahe, Mitchell Knight, and Carrington Kreger will be held on Sunday, November 1.

CONFIRMATION for 6-8 graders will start later this fall.

THE WOMEN OF ETERNAL HOPE have decided to cancel the Annual Fall Bazar.  We hope to have our 16th Annual Bazaar next year.  Thank you to everyone that donated post cards for our save the date notice.  We are still taking donations for next year if you have an opportunity to collect a few for us!

Music Greetings everyone  I am contacting all of you as a member, or a member of your family that could be a potential choir and/or handchime player.

As you have heard or read, Confirmation is being planned for in a few weeks (Nov. 1), and Thanksgiving will be just around the corner, followed by Advent Season.

I would like to get a group together to sing on Nov. 1 for Confirmation Services.   We can practice socially distanced in Sanctuary or Narthex.    Please advise whether or not you would be willing to consider singing on Nov. 1 and be able to come to practice on Wednesday, October 28 at 6:45 p.m.    Some additional practices will be added in November in preparation for Advent.

I would also like to get a group together for handchimes to play for Thanksgiving eve.   I would like to have some youth, new and former players to assist with this.    Having at least 7 or 8 participants would be helpful.
We would practice spaced out in the Narthex.   Players may wear gloves, if they so choose, and masks as required.

I would like to schedule practices for handchimes on Wednesdays, November 11 and November 18 at 6:45 p.m.

THANK YOU to Mia Pelton for cleaning up the planter near the sign!  As part of Girl Scouts, Mia had to complete a service project for her Duty to God requirement.  She put her gardening skills to the test by adding perennial plants: sedum, orange Stella lilies, Russian sage, and two kids of irises.  She also split the existing hostas and added some mushroom compost and new mulch on top.  Thanks to Mia for serving the church!

Main Street Living  airs each Sunday at 9 a.m. on WFTC Channel 29/9-2. This week’s episode, “Destination Unknown,” features Paul Werner (Leonard Nimoy), who is a nuclear scientist planning to reject American values and defect to the Soviet Union. He reconsiders after a conversation on a plane with a pastor and airline stewardess.

The worship service will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Michael Ziegler, speaker for The Lutheran Hour. For more information or to watch the program, go to mainstreetliving.com and select the “Twin Cities” tab.

STEWARDSHIP The Apostle Paul wrote the following to the believers in Ephesus.  “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”  (Ephesians 2:10).  With changed hearts, we are enabled to render help and service to others.  We are the instruments through which God works.  Through our hands and feet, He brings love and care to the needy; through our lips, He tells others of His life-saving Gospel; and through our minds, hearts, and checkbooks, He supports the work of the Church.

TRUNK OR TREAT FUN
Treats & Fun for kids of all ages
Saturday, October 31st
2:00-4:00

We are looking for families or groups of friends to decorate and host a Halloween Trunk.  Bring out your fun, creative Halloween self.  Turn your trunk into a ghost gathering, a pumpkin patch or whatever you imagine.   Candy and prizes will be furnished for each car.   Additionally, your children might enjoy creating a trunk and Trunk or Treating all at the same time.

If you are interested in participating, please sign up HERE   or call / text JoLayne with any questions at 763.639.0179.

SEPTEMBER CEAP COLLECTION---Thank you to all who were very generous in their giving to the School Supply/Baby Supply Collection.  We collected 4 FULL BARRELS of donations.  Our members were very giving, as well as several donations dropped off by those outside of our congregation.  We will continue to show our goodness to the community and introduce neighbors to our Church.  We will repeat this successful collection next fall.

THANK YOU to Ken Chrismen for laying new vinyl flooring in the entrance of the church and in the workroom.  Check out pictures in the online announcements.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1 AT 6 PM - We will gather outside around fire pits for A Service of Light to celebrate All Saints Day.  We will also have marshmallows for S’mores.  If you are able to bring a fire pit or wood, please talk to Andy or Pastor.

2021 CALENDARS are available for purchase for $8 from the Senior Youth.  Please talk to Andy if you would like one.  They make great gifts for Christmas!
