PHOENIX - A hiker is doing OK Thursday morning after being rescued from North Mountain. Phoenix police say he took a bus to the popular trail to hunt for snakes.
Around 1:30 a.m., more than 12 hours later, emergency crews say he called 911 asking for help getting down the mountain.
It took four rescuers and a helicopter to save him. Police say the man didn't take any water, but he did tell them he took beer.
Emergency crews checked the middle-aged man out and took him home.
Officers say they don't know if there will be any charges.
