\r\nDear Ridgefield Families,
\r\nNext week is the last week of school before Winter Break. I hope you take time to relax with your family and cherish the time with them this holiday season. If you recall, last week, I spoke with you about the power of “anticipation.” This week I am eagerly anticipating the FDA’s approval of a vaccine for COVID-19. CNN is reporting, “The FDA has informed Pfizer it intends ‘to proceed towards an authorization of the manufacturer's COVID-19 vaccine.” This means the vaccination process could start as soon as Monday or Tuesday.
\r\n\r\n Ridgefield resident and RSD parent Dr. Bobbie Hemmelman of Woodland Chiropractic, Columbia Bank, and the Pass It On Project donated five Anti-Stress baskets last week. The District received 168 nominations for deserving staff. Congratulations to all those that received nominations. We have a truly exceptional team. From those nominations, the following team members earned the baskets:

If you are one of the more than 300 new families with students in our district this year, you may not be aware, but we have a tradition here in Ridgefield. Each year the Ridgefield School District, in collaboration with the Ridgefield Art Association, holds a Superintendent’s Holiday Greeting Card Contest. We received numerous entries that were all beautiful, which made the decision very difficult. After much deliberation, Amelia Natterstad’s (a 7th-grade student at View Ridge Middle School) card earned the distinction of being Ridgefield School District’s 2020 holiday greeting card. Congratulations Amelia!
