Kolhapur-Sangli Flood Relief Fund

Hello,
My name is Pranot Bhosale. I am from Kolhapur and currently based in Atlanta, GA (USA). My friends and I have started this fundraiser for flood-affected families in Kolhapur and Sangli. We are working closely with a team in Kolhapur who is helping, in-person, directly the people affected by the flood.
Here are the few details, and the reasons for doing this fundraiser -
This year there has been a record-breaking rainfall in a short period in the western Maharashtra and Konkan regions. Most affected districts are Kolhapur and Sangli along with Karnataka region. Since 4th of August, it’s 124% of average rainfall in Kolhapur district. Kolhapur district has eight talukas that have 239 villages that are in worst flood condition. It was challenging for military rescue teams to reach those affected areas for the first five to six days. The national highway, the entry point to Kolhapur was shut down due to which there was no food, fuel, medicine supply possible. White Army, Hotel Owners Association, Association of Architects & Engineers, many NGOs like Avani, and local groups are doing their share to help thousands of people.
The situation during the floods are worst; the floodwater brings an enormous amount of dirt; the conditions are unhygienic, causing many diseases. To prevent an epidemic, our local team will be launching a cleanliness drive in coordination with government relief work. For that, the team will require pressure pumps, mosquito sprays, hand gloves, masks, medicines, and many more such things. Our team is currently giving a weeks grocery supply to flood-affected families. But there is still a lot more to be done.
Depending on the funds raised, we are planning to help the farmers (who lost their ONLY livelihood source like their cattle in this flood) by buying them cows/goats.
