Hsg test result
My wife undergone HSG test yesterday. The report stating that "There is peritoneal spillage of contrast MEDIUM on either side" kindly interpret the meaning. Why report says "Medium" . Is it normal? Please guide us. Thanks

Yes the report is normal... medium is the dye used during the test and spill on either side means the Fallopian tubes are patent and hence the dye went through the uterus to the tubes and spilled in d peritoneal cavity... which signifies that following ovulation the tubes are open and not blocked and so will pick up the egg and the sperms can make it's way to the ovulated egg.. so cheer up
