Sign up for our first year Ruda Growers Club!
We hope that this club will motivate folks to learn more about plants, grow their own food, and connect with the land and themselves. We understand that sometimes taking on new tasks like gardening can be intimidating for some because of financial barriers to entry, feeling like they are not "nurturing" or "outdoorsy", not knowing where to start, feeling like they are not worth the investment of materials, etc. We hope that this club can alleviate some of these barriers and create a club where we can share this plant journey of discovery together.
Another secondary goal of this club is donating any surplus fresh grown foods to the free store Pilsen Solidarity Network for distribution in their free community store and food pantry. This is not a requirement for participation. Growers may keep all foods grown for their own family, their own distribution, or may choose to grow non edible plants and this is totally fine.
We are only able to accept a small number of people into the club for financial and chat support/capacity reasons. Preference will be given to Black, Indigenous, People of Color femme-identifying survivors of Intimate partner violence, domestic violence, or state violence.
