Beginning of summer lull, known trash reporter throws out completely unsubstantiated nonsense about Toronto, desperate to keep those clicks coming. Come on...who would take this seriously?

how soon before Simmons spots one of those players at a nearby hot dog cart and writes an article on it?

Wow, Leaf fans taking one from Trump's playbook. "Everything I don't like is fake-news."

Nah.

The title of this thread is misleading, and Simmons is widely known to stretch the truth, and that’s being kind.

He’s a trash reporter who always does his best to stir up animosity and his reputation is in the gutter for a reason. Anything he writes should be taken with many grains of salt.

Why now?
Why not during the season?

We will now will have a full season of AM doesn't like KK, from other fans.

How about this: Take your 11.5 mil and do what players who play like that worth do; make them better.

If it’s true who cares? Not bad that a star player of a team voices his opinion on who he feels comfortable playing with. I don’t see the big deal
If this is in fact true

Sure its Simmons, but this type of entitled behavior is straight up Matthews' alley and I would be surprised if it wasn't true. Lest we forget how Matthews cried about his ice time to the coach forcing his coach to fly out to beg for forgiveness? And held out for a monster cap-crippling overpaying contract? Not to mention that tattoo... good gawd that tattoo. Wouldn't surprise me if the King of the Jungle himself didn't want to play with B-tier talent like Kapanen.
