Ubuntu Studio 19.04 on/em um Asus Vivobook X510UR (core i7, nvidia 930mx)

Installation of Ubuntu Studio 19.04 on an Asus Vivobook X510UR, Intel Core i7, NVIDIA 930MX, 8GB RAM, 1TB SATA HD, using a pendrive (USB stick) has been effortless. Since the laptop had Windows 10 preinstalled, Rufus (https://rufus.ie) has been of great help.

1. Choose a pendrive with at least 4GB (will be erased).

2. Download Ubuntu Studio 19.04 '... .iso' file (https://ubuntustudio.org/download/).

3. Download and install Rufus (https://rufus.ie).

4. Follow Rufus' instructions and prepare your pendrive.

5. Restart the machine and press F2 when the first Asus logo appears to enter the BIOS.

6. On the first screen, on the right upper corner, change the USB pendrive to the first place in the list (before your HD) by dragging it.

7. Press F7 to enter advanced mode, go to 'Boot' and disable 'Secure Boot' (MRS should go disabled too).

8. Press F6 to open the boot list, select your pendrive with the arrows and press Enter.

9. Your computer should restart and open Ubuntu's installer.

A instalação do Ubuntu Studio 19.04 em um Asus Vivobook X510UR, Intel Core i7, NVIDIA 930MX, 8GB RAM, 1TB SATA HD, usando um pendrive (USB stick) foi tranquila. Como o computador tinha o Windows 10 pré-instalado, o software Rufus (https://rufus.ie) foi de grande ajuda.

1. Escolha um pendrive com pelo menos 4GB (será formatado).

2. Faça o download do arquivo '... .iso' de Ubuntu Studio 19.04 (https://ubuntustudio.org/download/).

3. Faça o download e instale o Rufus (https://rufus.ie).

4. Siga as instruções do Rufus e prepare seu pendrive.

5. Reinicie a máquina e pressione F2 quando o primeiro logo da Asus aparecer para entrar no BIOS.

6. Na primeira tela, no canto superior direito, mude o pendrive para o primeiro lugar da lista (antes do HD) arrastando com o mouse.

7. Pressione F7 para entrar no modo avançado, vá para 'Boot' e desabilite o 'Secure Boot' (o MRS deve passar a desabilitado também).

8. Pressione F6 para abrir a lista de boot, selecione o pendrive com as setas e pressione Enter.

9. Seu computador deve reiniciar e abrir o instalador do Ubuntu.
