Biography

Sarah-Jayne Blakemore is Professor of Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, UK, and leader of the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Group. Her group's research focuses on the development of social cognition and decision making in the human adolescent brain, and adolescent mental health. Professor Blakemore has been awarded multiple prizes for her research including the Royal Society Rosalind Franklin Award 2013, the Klaus J Jacobs Prize 2015 and the British Psychological Society Presidents' Award 2018. She is a Fellow of the British Academy, the Royal Society of Biology and the Association of Psychological Science.

Peipei Setoh is an assistant professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Her training is in developmental psychology and her research examines children’s moral development, and their ideas about race and gender. Her interest in children’s social cognitions has led her to investigate children’s racial biases and gender stereotypes. Peipei’s research has been published in top journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Developmental Psychology, and Child Development, and covered by outlets such as The BBC, Channel News Asia, and The Asian Scientist.
