Capital One Arena, a sports venue in Washington D.C., has selected Ping HD and BrightSign to update its legacy signage at concession stands.
The companies deployed more than 100 BrightSign LS423 media players connected to Samsung displays, which make up video walls at each concession stand, according to a press release.
The arena needed a solution to display team-specific content and menu board digital signage at the concession stands, and Ping HD and BrightSign helped meet this need.
The displays are mounted end-to-end with headers displayed across the walls. BrightSign's players help create a 'ribbon effect' to blend content across multiple screens, according to the release.
"A key factor in our selection of BrightSign for this project was that the client required us to use existing displays," Joe Malouff, director of marketing at Ping HD, said in the release. "BrightSign's low-profile players mount easily behind the existing screens, and they handle virtually any content we send their way, with the highest level of reliability."
