This week's winners are:

Ohio team of the week: Cincinnati Country Day girls track – The 4x200 relay team of Lawson Renie, Anushka Nair, Kam Jordan and Joely Virzi broke a 34-year-old Miami Valley Conference record in the event, which was also held by CCD from 1985.

Northern Kentucky team of the week: Dixie Heights softball – The Colonels went 4-2 last week, including a 7-0 shutout win over defending Ninth Region champion Ryle, to improve to 16-10 overall.

Ohio baseball: Jaden Phillips, New Miami – The senior pitcher/shortstop tossed a 67-pitch perfect game against Hillcrest Training Academy on May 7. Jaden struck 13-of-15 batters out in the 12-0 shutout victory.

Northern Kentucky baseball: Truman Pierson, CovCath – The Colonels’ leadoff hitter led the Colonels to three straight wins. He had three runs scored, three RBI and a steal in a win over Newport Central Catholic after going 4-for-5 with a steal and four runs scored in a crazy 26-19 win over Bishop Brossart.

Ohio softball: Madi Neth, Williamsburg – The junior pitcher, along with her catcher Paige Fisher, had a perfect game in the 24-0 win over North College Hill May 8 for the conference champion Wildcats.

Northern Kentucky softball: Haley Perry, Simon Kenton – She was 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI in the 11-1 win over Notre Dame in five innings, helping her lead the Pioneers with the most career RBI.

Boys lacrosse: Brenden Pelton, Sycamore – The senior midfielder/attack had nine goals, seven assists, six ground balls in three wins last week over Lakota West, Indian Hill and Oak Hills. He’s tied for first in the Greater Miami Conference in scoring with 72.

Girls lacrosse: Amanda Singler, Mercy McAuley – A Wolves co-captain, she led the team to victory last week over Ursuline and Lakota West. She’s had four goals, won 11 ground balls, five draw controls and a caused turnover.

Boys track: Julian Wagner, Lakota West – He was the Greater Miami Conference runner of the year after winning the 200-meter dash.

Girls track: Maddie Baker, Norwood – She won the Miami Valley Conference runner of the year after winning the 800-meter and 1,600-meter races in the conference championship, and taking second in the 3,200-meter race.

Tennis: Ronit Hiryur, St. Xavier –He won the Division I boys tennis sectional singles championship at the ATP Lindner Family Tennis Center over his teammate.

Boys volleyball:  Kyle Rees, West Clermont – The freshman had 13 kills in the win over Lakota West and had a great game with seven aces against Milford.
