Description

MultiPanel is a simple application that allows you to organize frequently used applications, documents and folders using small panels (like Dock).

MultiPanel evolved as a new version of ActiveDock was being created. Some these new features might be available in the next version of ActiveDock.

Main features of MultiPanel:
- create an unlimited number of panels
- attach panels to the edges of the screen (left, bottom, right and top)
- floating/ movable panel mode for placement of panels anywhere on the screen
- adjust the size of the panel / icons for your personal preference
- light and dark theme
- display your running applications on the panel along with the ability to pin the application to the panel
- drag and drop to add any items to the panel
- drag and drop to change the order of icons in the MultiPanel

What’s New

Version 1.17

- significantly redesigned interface and improved behavior (and this is just the beginning)
- fixed bugs where icons did not receive events and clicks

Workflow is difficult.

Adding items seems to be very difficult. I added a folder and had to click through about 4 different okay buttons.

Once the folder was added there is no title to the folder! So I can't tell which folder I am trying to select. The name will eventually show as a tooltip but I may as well use the finder favorites as that would be less time then using this.

I would only use it as a holding place for applications.

Developer Response ,

Good afternoon, thanks for your feedback and criticism.

You can add by simply dragging the elements to the panel, I hope that this will simplify your work.

An update will soon be available in which many errors have been fixed, and then in the next, the display of element names will be added

Sorry for the slow answer

PS: For faster communication and error correction, I recommend using the Send Feedback function (this way I can quickly answer your questions and fix errors faster)

Good App, but...

I been use free trial with this app from web, and I can't really tell difference between "Lifetime Version" and "Standard Version", then I found out one day I can purchase it on App Store, so I bought it, it was good, or it might always been that way, when I tryed open app with MultiPanel, it always open the app on the left or top if it is on the left or right side, a lot bugs... I am looking forward to see an update soon Thanks.
One suggestions, pleease add Active Dock to App Store if you can.

Good Idea, a bit buggy currently - New Release?

Love the idea, and it works decent.

Couple of issues that I'm sure they will address and change since it's newly released.

1) no keyboard shortcut ability to hide/show
2) bit buggy, every time I move the dock (always gets in the way since you're not used to it) it opens up a folder
3) cant drag files into the folders, it simply only allows me to open folders
4) only allows basic fixed placements (left right up down), should be left up, left down, etc. More options
5) hard to add folders in it, doesn't feel good
6) impossible to rearrange folders/apps within it. you have to delete the folder and redrop the new folder in it

Good idea, lots to exapand on it though.

Good afternoon, sorry for the slow reply, thanks for your feedback.

A big request to you, you can contact me using the function of the Send Feedback application (in the icon which is in the Menu bar), I have questions for you about the features and errors you requested.

A new version will soon be available in which many errors have been fixed, and then I will prepare a big update ...
