Iowa basketball: Isaiah Moss reconsidering transfer to Arkansas

The decision to transfer to Arkansas was an interesting one for former Iowa basketball player Isaiah Moss, and he is already reconsidering.
It was surprising when the senior shooting guard made the announcement to leave the Iowa basketball program, and it was even more surprising when he decided to commit to Arkansas.
When the Razorbacks landed another graduate transfer shooting guard a few weeks later, the decision was a bit more confusing.
Now, Isaiah Moss is leaving the Iowa basketball program without a destination as he reopened his recruitment.
After much thought and deliberation with my family, I have made the difficult decision to re-open my recruitment. I would like to thank the coaching staff at the University of Arkansas for all they have done for me. I am hopeful and excited for what the future holds for me.

While I initially thought Moss could be heading to a mid-major program because of the ability to be the number one option, joining a major program appears to be what Isaiah Moss wants.
In an article written prior to Moss’ commitment to Arkansas, the graduate transfer shooting guard had narrowed his list down to four teams: Arkansas, Arizona State, Oregon, and Kansas.
With Arkansas seemingly out of the mix, it appears Arizona State, Oregon, and Kansas are the last teams remaining as I can’t imagine Moss would open his recruitment up entirely again. Not only is that a lot of time, but it’s a lot of work that he would need to repeat to narrow his list down again.
If I had to make a guess, I bet Moss is heading to Kansas.
They’ve suffered through a similar exodus as the Iowa basketball team, and recently just learned that top recruit Quentin Grimes is transferring from the program as well.
What looked like a weird choice is now looking like a beautiful destination. Kansas, although not as strong as they historically are, is still a good basketball team that consistently makes the NCAA Tournament. Moreover, they get more exposure than the Iowa basketball team and with so many guys leaving, this could be an ideal opportunity for Isaiah Moss to shine.
Kansas’ recruiting class features just one 4-star prospect and two 3-star prospects and two of their top three guards are not returning.

Although incredibly unlikely, there is still a chance that Isaiah Moss ultimately returns to the Iowa basketball program, yet at this point, my money is on Moss heading southwest to Kansas.
