Guns & Roses tames down video
When Guns and Roses filmed their premiere video, ‘‘Welcome to the Jungle,” they assumed MTV would accept the clip with open arms. But according to the band’s guitarist, a man dubbed Slash, that was not the case. “They weren’t happy with it at all,” he said, “so we took it back and now there’s a lot less dead bodies and less sex.”

It looks that there is! Axl had mentioned too that there was another version and they had to edit it.

I would love to see what they had originally intended for the video, sounds very intense!
I really liked the other video they put out for WTTJ with the Live Era release as well - the original is brilliant but I think I prefer the Live Era one

Yes, I think the Live Era one was great. And I like that they included scenes from the St Louis show and riot

Haha yeah .... and the news reporting on it and Axl being arrested lol then he is on stage and sticks his tongue out, love that bit!
It’s a shame and a bit of a missed opportunity that they never made a video for Civil War. A good video for that song could’ve made it massive!

They don't have the Live Era videos on their youtube channel, have they? I wonder why.

No they don’t and they’re very difficult to find these days in good viewing quality. It really doesn’t make any sense why they don’t want them on their official channel.
It was great when they used to get played regularly on VH1.
