Former head of Goldman Sachs Stephen Friedman seems to have traded the world of finance for the realm of warriors and dragons – if only for a few brief seconds.

Friedman, who also worked in the White House under President George W. Bush, has a brief cameo “Game of Thrones” during the season four premiere, according to an article in NY Times’ Dealbook.

Clad in peasant robes, Friedman appears for a few seconds at the beginning of the episode and walks down a dirt path carrying a basket with his real-life wife, Barbara, by his side.

Though the small screen isn’t Friedman’s usual domain, his appearance might not come as surprise to “Game of Thrones” aficionados who know that Friedman’s son, David Benioff, is one of the show’s creators.

Author William D. Cohen, who had interviewed Friedman for a book on Goldman Sachs, helped spread the news by tweeting about his discovery.

In response to his performance, Friedman said in a statement, ““I have been advised not to give up my day job.”
