The COVID-19 pandemic has many people wondering how to keep their small businesses afloat. Others are looking to start a business but need help.
Because of this, the Plano Public Library is offering free online classes and other resources to help small-business owners.
The library also can connect people with a mentor through its SCORE program, it said in an announcement. SCORE is a network of volunteers that helps entrepreneurs start small businesses.
Some of the upcoming online group classes are:
- Monday — Resources for Small Business (SCORE & PPL)
- Wednesday, Oct. 7 — Intro to Writing a Business Plan (SCORE)
- Friday, Oct. 16 — Business Success: 5 Habits to Embrace
- Wednesday, Oct. 21 — Get Your Business on Google Search and Maps
- Monday, Nov. 9 — Smart Financial Choices in Challenging Times
- Friday, Nov. 13 — Overcoming Procrastination
- Friday, Nov. 20 — Build Your Business with Reference Solutions
- Friday, Dec. 4 — Adobe Photoshop: Product Photography

The library also has books and other publications on starting a business as well as databases and software resources.
