Projektbeskrivelse
- Projektresumé

The idea of the project is to develop new knowledge about new technologies like IoT, blockchain, and their impact on business models. The project is conducted in collaboration with partners institutes and companies working in the lifestyle industry that want to utilize blockchain and IoT to promote sustainability and reduce its climate footprint.

- Baggrund og formål

The involvement of many steps and having various tiers at each step make the fashion supply chain very opaque to brands and retailers. The complexity of the supply chain has made traceability and in return verification of sustainable practices a challenging objective to achieve.

Textile industry needs to transition from a linear “make-use-dispose” economic model to a more sustainable “circular” economic model and they need to promote transparency and traceability in their supply chain in order to ensure compliance towards more sustainable and climate positive practices through out the product life cycle.
