- Projektresumé | The idea of the project is to develop new knowledge about new technologies like IoT, blockchain, and their impact on business models. The project is conducted in collaboration with partners institutes and companies working in the lifestyle industry that want to utilize blockchain and IoT to promote sustainability and reduce its climate footprint.

- Baggrund og formål | The involvement of many steps and having various tiers at each step make the fashion supply chain very opaque to brands and retailers. The complexity of the supply chain has made traceability and in return verification of sustainable practices a challenging objective to achieve. Textile industry needs to transition from a linear “make-use-dispose” economic model to a more sustainable “circular” economic model and they need to promote transparency and traceability in their supply chain in order to ensure compliance towards more sustainable and climate positive practices through out the product life cycle. |
- Aktiviteter og handling | Took a course from CBS on Sustainable Fashion Participated in Knowledge Sharing Group Meetings Literature Review: Studied state of the art research in the field of implementing blockchain technology to address sustainability issues in the fashion supply chain Issued and read various books on understanding and implementing blockchain technology Formulated some interview questions for SMEs working within fashion to get some insights into how they are planning to deal with sustainability in their business models and the technologies they are interested to invest in to tackle this problem.
