Mrs. Mary Adeline Brown, wife of Lloyd W. Brown, died at 11:45 o'clock Monday forenoon at the residence, 550 South Crea street. She was thirty-five years old last February. Her death was caused by a complication of diseases and followed a long illness. Mrs. Brown's maiden name was Mary Adeline Wilson. She was a daughter of the late Archie Wilson and was born in Decatur Feb. 7, 1895. Her entire life was spent in Decatur and she was well known and held in high regard.
Graduating from the Decatur high school with the class of 1912, she later attended Wellesley college, Wellesley, Mass., in 1913-14. She and Lloyd W. Brown were married in Decatur, June 16, 1917. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal church.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Margery Brown. She also leaves her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Haines, and a sister and brother, Miss Frances G. Wilson of Decatur and Archie F. Wilson of Whiting, Ind. The body was taken to the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home and prepared for burial. Funeral services will be private and will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the home. Burial will be in Fairlawn.
