Deck: Monarch deck Name: Cecil Patterson Where: Park Hills, MO. Jester's Cards and Stuff When: May 7th, Saturday Cost: $4 Attendance: 14 Prize: 1st gets 3             2nd gets 2          3rd gets 1       Hey this is my first post ever and i want to thank Pojo's Yugioh site for letting me do this and also i want to thank RegnR8' for giving me an idea for this deck(I don't know him personally i just read every one of his tournament reports). Now to the good stuff I have been building this deck for who knows how long and I finished it Friday after school. I got up at 9"0"clock and mowed my neighbor's yard for money and ran to the shop(which was 6 blocks from my house) and i got in the shop at 12"0"clock. I started testing my deck and it was pretty good. The tournament started at 2 P.M. and I was trading around and i bought a pack of SOD and pulled a level 8 Horus and traded for and level 7 silent swordsman and a Dark ruler Hades. Then i traded Dark ruler Hades for 2 Drop off's and traded level 7 for $5. I made the finishing touches on my deck and put a drop off into the deck. So here it is.   Monarch deck: 40 Tribute effect: 5 Granmarg the rock monarch Zaborg thunder monarch x2 Mobius the frost monarch x2 Effect monsters: 9 Sangan Cyber Jar Magician of faith Spirit reaper Penguin soldier x2 Nimble momonga x3 Magic: 17 Swords of Revealing Light Card destruction Scapegoat Graceful Charity Premature Burial Pot of Greed Giant Trunade Heavy storm Snatch MST Book of Moon Creature swap x2 Nobleman of Crossout x2 Axe of despair x2 Trap: 9 Ring of destruction Magic cylinder Drop off Torrential tribute Dust tornado Magic drain Call of the haunted Sakuretsu armor x2       Now to the tournament report, we play Swiss style so I played a person that had a mix of gravekeeper/control.       Game 1 Me vs. Gravekeeper/control         We shuffled each others decks and cut respectively to see who went first and I won. The first draw was Sangan, Zaborg, Ring, Sakuretsu, and Granmarg. I set Sakuretsu and Ring and Sangan. He sets two and plays White Magician and attacks and I activate Sakuretsu. My turn,  I draw Magic Drain and set it and play Zaborg and i get out Nimble Momonga and I destroy his monster with the effect and attack he takes it. I wonder is he bluffing we'll find out soon he sets a monster and a card. I draw axe and attack into a man eater bug no! Things start going downhill from here. He gets out Jinzo and stops everything that's game.         Game 2         The funniest thing happened here, I set cyber jar and he attacks it, he sets a cyber jar and i attack it 9 turns later he decks out, my win.       Game 3       Lets just say it was a remake of game 1.   0-1   Next person is a newbie and i take care of him quick. I kind of felt sorry for the guy.      Game 1 Me vs.Warrior deck       He doesn't quiet know what he is doing with this deck and let some things go but he tries to use scapegoat out of his grave yard. I kill him.       Game 2       Its a repeat of game 1 but, i kill him with four monarchs at once.   1-1       I have to face this guy who just traded two raw deal decks for two yugioh decks. I take him quickly.       Game 1 Me vs. Chaos deck.       I get out Mobius and Zaborg and take control of his field in know time and knock him down with Nimble's. Gotta love those Nimble's.        Game 2       He gets out Phoenix and kills me with it I had no chance.         Game 3         This was a close one, it came down to one draw, it drew Spirit Reaper and he can't kill it and I'm able to stall long enough for me to get out monarchs and axe.       Finals       I have to play my rival in the first round and even if I won i would had to go home for my brothers prom at 4:30 And it was 3:50 , so I had to play fast.       Game 1 Me vs. Chaos         This kid was good, he had a good deck and was able to get out his Black Luster Soldier and knock me down.     Game 2     I got a good hand and killed him before he got anything.     Game 3     This was the closest game I ever played I snatched his Black Luster and hit him twice with it he heavied and got it back and killed me.       Well I'm out but I did a lot better we laughed about the duel and I went home.     Props: Finishing my deck, getting a bunch of trade stuff, getting money, doing good in the tournament.     Slops: Having to leave early not getting 1st,2nd,or 3rd in the tournament.     Thank you Pojo and I promise to take better notes next and Happy Dueling. swordmaster3@hotmail.com
