BLOG: Kane on childhood as a 'hockey geek'

Patrick Kane can famously recall just about any hockey moment from his playing career.
During a special one-on-one Convention panel with Blackhawks Historian Bob Verdi, Kane proved those memories extend back to his childhood days of watching the Sabres in his hometown of Buffalo.

"We probably went to 20 or 25 games a year," Kane said. "We always had a little routine, we'd get nachos before the first period, pizza after the first period and ice cream before the third. We played mini sticks in the hallways and I was lucky enough to sit behind the other team's bench, where I could see all the sticks on the rack and hear what the coaches were saying to the players."
