To the registrants of : Graduate Research and Policy Expo (GRaPE)

I regret to inform you that the 2020 GRaPE had been cancelled. Due to the newly enacted prohibition on meetings of 50 or more individuals we have made this difficult decision. This year GRaPE was met with tremendous interest and we hope to find even more success in 2021.

In lieu of the event, we are extending another opportunity to registrants who still wish to share their research with policymakers. SPAG will compile and share short video interviews with graduate students communicating their research. If you'd like to participate by being interviewed please complete this questionnaire by April 5 (

--To attend talks and the poster sessions ONLY, register at tinyurl.com/slp2qsc --

The Graduate and Professional Student Federation (GPSF) would like to formally invite you to the 5th annual Graduate Research and Policy Expo (GRaPE) that will be held on April 2nd from 11 am to 4 pm at the Sonja Haynes Stone Center.  This is a great opportunity for students to share their research with policy makers, administrations, and the Carolina Community. With the Science Policy Advocacy Group (SPAG), this event allows graduate and professional students the opportunity to connect with peers, practice their communication skills, and learn about the exciting research around the University. This free, half-day conference includes poster presentations, research talks, a legislative keynote speaker, monetary awards, and food for attendees and presenters. Student talks will be 5 minutes long, poster presentations are intended to be professional but targeted to a general audience (feel free to bring your own poster or get a new one made), or if you'd rather just attend that's OK too. If you would like to attend without presenting, simply indicate that in the registration abstract section.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at robertbs@email.unc.edu or gpsf@listserv.unc.edu.
