Outrageous info on GUNS N' ROSES

It’s almost unbelievable. In two years, Guns N’ Roses have skyrocketed with hypersonic speed to the top of the rock 'n roll heap. Never in the history of rock has a band become so big, so fast. Never. After they asserted themselves as the hottest group on the LA strip, virtually every major label wined and dined the quintet in hopes of getting them on their rosters. The then-starving Gunners continued to accept the free meals even after they knew they would sign with Geffen Records.

Believe it or not, their debut album, Appetite For Destruction, sold poorly at first. But word of mouth from the kids spread like rabies and soon these raunchy upstarts found themselves with a number one album that to this date has sold 12 million plus. It is the largest grossing debut slab behind Whitney Houston and Boston respectively. The followup, half acoustic EP Lies! sold an additional four million. They recently won the MTV Best Heavy Metal Video award.

They’ve seen dreams come true, touring with Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones, the same bands that inspired them as teenagers. Now, with all this behind them, the pressure is a little high. After suffering some personality conflicts, Slash and Axl have reportedly resolved their differences and are at work on their long awaited second full length album. It will apparently be a double LP, and will feature ballads like “November Rain,” rockers like “Back Off Bitch,” and a host of other songs ranging from Metallica-veined toons to country ditties.
