4:40 p.m. Saturday Update: A tornado watch was issued for Alfalfa, Beckham, Blaine, Caddo, Comanche, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Greer, Harper, Kiowa, Major, Roger Mills, Washita, Woods and Woodward counties until 11 p.m.
Cotton, Harmon, Jackson and Tillman counties are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m.
2 p.m. Saturday Update: KOCO 5 meteorologist Sabrina Bates says much of the state ranging from northwestern Oklahoma to the OKC metro, and the southeastern part of the state has an enhanced risk for severe weather.
The threat brings a tornado risk, with the index for part of northwestern Oklahoma and near the OKC metro being a four out of 10. Parts of Oklahoma also could see destructive hail stones the size of golf balls or tennis balls.
Sabrina says the storms also could produce wind gusts of 80 mph.
