The Mandel Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated content creator to join our Adult Services department. This position will provide reference and reader’s advisory for the general public as well as support library initiatives by creating content for a variety of print and digital platforms, ensuring style consistency across library departments and communications, and managing the library’s social media accounts. This is a full-time position with some evening and weekend hours required.
$53,031 Annually (Pay Grade 57)

Master’s degree with a major in Library Science (MLS) from an ALA accredited program of study (education will be verified using the "Education Requirements" listed below) and two (2) years of related experience in a field such as teaching, recreation, social work or book sales is required, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
A current and valid Florida driver’s license is required. For application purposes, a valid driver’s license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver’s license within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
Alternate requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and the ability to complete the Master's degree in Library Sciences (MLS) within six (6) months from the date of employment, and three (3) years related experience in a field such as teaching, recreation, social work, or book sales, or related field.Education Requirements: To be considered valid (or verified) for position qualification purposes, and consistent with City Hiring Policy 4-5, a High School, GED or equivalent diploma, and all higher education degrees or certifications must have been issued by:
