SO much fun. SO many built-in animations. We played with it for hours, and changed the settings every couple of days. The sound-reactive programs even worked great, making family movie night more fun.
The 66-foot, 200-LED string was just enough to provide coverage on our 9-foot tree. A 7- or 8-foot tree will look spectacular with this set.
If you've added smart products (especially GoVee lights) to your home before, then installation, app settings, and Alexa implementation is pretty smooth. If you've never done it before, never fear...the GoVee app is one of the better-designed smart lighting apps I've tried. Alexa found the lights without a hiccup and we were able to use voice commands and set up routines with no problems.
Programming your own animated light sequences is a little complicated and takes a minute to wrap your head around the process (your kids will figure it out in no time), but even this made sense with a little practice. You may never feel the need to try this feature, because there are so many pre-programmed sequences. We experimented by making a Mardi Gras animation that ended up looking great.
Comes in a nice box for safe storage til next year.
